School of Jewellery Ambient Special - 26th July 2025

Image
As part of the Jewellery Quarter Festival, the School of Jewellery was open to the public as a kind of "heritage hub" for organisations without public-facing premises. We were invited to take over the first floor balcony overlooking the space and to provide ambient music, which we did. Unlike an ordinary EMOM event, this one was a bit more "curated" in that we didn't throw it open but invited people we knew would be suitable for the brief.  In the end, about 400 people passed through the space during the performances and numbers of people turned up specifically to hear the music, which was great to know.  We will definitely be doing more of these kinds of events. Though Robert has played with us before, so maybe no too much of a shock. But fear not... samples, processing and effects yield swirling psychedelia rooted in solid groove basslines with The Tantric Obstacles, self-confessed fan of The Ozric Tentacles: The next act was another newcomer and a fascinating way of ma...

We're pleased to be able to let you know that the last event at Centrala on 20/3/25 is available to view on the YouTube Livestream, courtesy of Lee Greatorex.  This is a charity fundraiser for Mind and you can make a donation here  here .  The lineup is fantastic - note that KATUS and the mystery performer couldn't play. Well, mystery performer didn't turn up, so that is a bit frustrating. KATUS had a last-minute family emergency and had to return home: we wish him well. Out next event is a Mini-EMOM at The School of Jewellery in the Jewellery Quarter for just three acts, performing slightly longer sets.  Come along and see!
